About Us

The Institute of Dance was founded to introduce and sustain the future generation to the ancient and beautiful dance form of Bharathanatyam.

Natanam Institute of Dance has been acclaimed for its efforts and has been appreciated highly by many people /organizations and also been invited to perform at many events. Students from the Institute have garnered awards and appreciations at various competitions too.

The International Dance Council – CID, has also accredited Natanam, which is the official umbrella organization for all forms of dance in all countries, and is recognized by UNESCO.

Another highlight is that Guru Dr. Raksha Karthik has been teaching visually impaired children from 20+ years and also has choreographed a show for Rotary International’s Convention in Bangkok featuring visually impaired & mute children together.

Students from the Institute have garnered awards and appreciations at various competitions. The Team has also been invites by various Temples / Organizations/ Trusts and other prestigious institutions to perform from time to time. At Natanam, students undergo intense training in Bharathanatyam through regular contact classes.

They are trained in both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject grooming them to be holistic artists. All students are trained to pursue Prarambika, Praveshika, Madhyama, Madhyama Poorna and Vidwat Examinations. Talented Students are encouraged to perform their Rangapravesha – solo Debut Performance too. Dancers with Exceptional commitment, determination, and skill progress to become members of the Natanam Ensemble
